Arrow Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Central Montana. The primary development focus will be on a custom application that is strategically at the heart of the company’s operations.  This person will be responsible for building cutting edge software platforms to communicate with customers into the next century.  A high degree of initiative to learn new technologies, the power to thrive in fast-paced environments, and the ability to drive a project from inception to completion is required for this role.  Attention to detail and a desire to work in a collaborative environment are essential to success in this position.  This role will work in an office environment during normal business hours.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full life cycle software development to include but not limited to requirement gathering, design, development, testing and implementation
  • Responsible for new enhanced development, system design and upgrades
  • Ensure the application meets architectural, performance, reliability, and capacity requirements through software testing and validations
  • Research and implement best practices framework for performance reliability and maximum efficiency
  • Able to write clean, modular and self-sustaining code
  • Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and plan and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications between the business and the development teams
  • Perform fit/gap analysis and work with solution architects to estimate effort
  • Create a plan for and execute integration tests with assistance from other team members
  • Train and mentor users as required on the system
  • Tackle a variety of tasks, wear a variety of hats, and pitch in where ever needed

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science degree from an accredited University
  • 6+ years of experience in Java development
  • REST API development experience (from scratch!)
  • Spring framework with dependency injection experience with additional skills in Hibernate, SQL and MySQL
  • Mix of experience in software development, database analysis, and systems analysis with the ability to apply experience from any of those roles depending on the project
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with non-technical staff
  • Focused leader, who can mentor others and comprehend the application architecture
